Ouch my finger!

We have had our first major accident with Camryn jamming her finger (left pinky) into a closing door and having the tip of it severed. It was pretty upsetting to see and for the initial bandaging (they put the tip back onto the finger after we highlighted the fact that we weren't carrying a cup of frozen peas around for fun!). Then it was tapped down and she hasn't really complained about it since! She does milk it though and will hold her finger up for a kiss if we talk about it. Today it was seen by a specialist who is more relaxed about it than we were - in his words doesn't look as bad as he was expecting after our description. He will review it after 3 weeks when any skin that has not taken has gone black and fallen off. Kids have very good regenerative abilities.

Here is photo of the girls complete with bandaged hand. It hasn't really slowed her down at all - except for limiting her water activities.
