Merry Christmas
A kiwi Christmas for the whole Henderson clan. This year for the first time in about 6 years all the Henderson's were at home in Pukehina for Christmas. This included Grandma Betty, Hamish & Lynne, myself & David, Dougal & Jamie, and of course the latest addition Alexa.
Alexa ("The little serious girl") has very much been the star of the week usurping Zac's role as house favourite. She is watched by 7 pairs of eyes while eating and then gets plenty of attention during the day from various sitters.
These pics taken from Mum's camera show the 4 generations - me, Alexa, Grandma Betty & Gran (Lynne); and secondly a photo taken by Grandma Betty showing us all - at back from left to right Hamish, Jamie and Dougal, at front from left to right David, me (holding Alexa) and Lynne.
This pattern of being centre of attention carries on from the Chapman-Smith household, altho there you have to be quick to beat Anne in getting to Alexa first! Both sets of grandparents are spoiling Alexa giving her lots of attention, whisking her away for walks, mid meal treats of rice crackers & lots of toys from Christmas. She is lapping this all up with good grace and some beaming smiles at the right times.
David and I are looking forward to feeling a bit more settled and the New Year will bring lots of work in preparing for and moving into our new home in Mt Albert. We hope this will be interspersed with some holiday activities like fishing, swimming and catching up with friends for BBQ over the summer.
