While in Wellington we were given some hand me down clothes from Heather. Despite them being a bit too big for Alexa, she was very very excited by them and here is a photo of her in some of the clothes.

Heather our cousin in Wellington

David, Camryn and I had to travel to Wellington for a day to attend my Uncle Richard's funeral.

We stayed with my cousin Catherine, husband Scott and their children Heather (7) and Angus (5). Heather was very taken with Camryn and was an excellent car companion keeping a running commentary about what was happening in great detail e.g. Camryn's eyes open, yawning etc. She was great holding her - unfortunately we were leaving when this photo was taken and Camryn was hungry hence the unfortunate expression.

Out and about

It's amazing the difference between your first and your third born. I think with Alexa I was only just leaving the house at 4 weeks (admittedly it was snowing!), but with Camryn it's a different story. At 4 weeks she has already been on her first flight to Queenstown, up to Omaha for a holiday, cafes, kindy runs, music and dance class, accompanying bike rides, farm visits etc. Quite a lot really for someone just new to it all.

She is adjusting well though, and despite having some rough days mostly her nights involve long sleeps and brief waking for a drink - a perfect routine for this age.

Born awesome

Camryn at 4 weeks is doing very well. Drinking strongly, she now weighs in at almost 5kg which moves her into the next weight category from NB to 0-3 months. David says she is starting to look like a person now!

Here she is reclining at Omaha - thanks to Sarah for the T-shirt.
