3rd Birthday Party

Alexa's third birthday passed with much more attention and appreciation this year.  She understands how old she is, the month and the expected number of candles she should have on her candle (even though she kept insisting on 5 candles).  I racked my brains to decide on a new cake and came up with a Tiger - her favourite animal.  The usual transpired with me up late the evening before cooking and then up at 6.30 to decorate, but all worth it when you see the excitement on her face.  She was a very lucky little girl and enjoyed all the attention and being the focus of the Happy Birthday song!  

During the evening a few comments from her kept us chuckling - her response to JoJo saying you've got ants in your pants (this at 8.30pm) was "you can check" and later to Dad saying her would count to 20 to give her enough time for a quick hug to all and then he would take her to bed "Katie hold me tight". Her language is growing so quickly it is very easy to be amazed at the mental connections she makes.

Alexa turns 3

I know I know I have been extremely remiss in the last 6 months.  I can only say that buying, selling, Christmas, working and playing takes an inordinate amount of time and energy leaving none to do blog updates.  You have missed - Isobel turning 1, our new house in Castor Bay, Christmas & summer in New Zealand.  I will try and add a few pics over next few days/weeks.

In the interim here is a photo of our 3 year old daughter who wants to grow into these shoes one day!
