South Island

There aren't too many shots of David and I - but here are a couple taken in Abel Tasman National Park. The first from just above the lodge we stayed (Awaroa Lodge) and looking out to Awaroa inlet, the second a shot on a beach of a friend.

We really loved out holiday and got to appreciate the things we could do without having Alexa with us - but also missed her a lot. Now we are happy to be back and one family again - but not so great being in the pattern of the working week.

Did I say I have got a job at Auckland City Council? I love it - three days a week, generalist role that is busy but also of the nature that I can down tools at 5pm and leave to pick up Alexa. I am loving being back in the workforce and having the mental stimulation. It is great to also know Alexa is enjoying daycare and gets to do lots of things I wouldn't have the energy or inclination to do with her.
