Alexa's time on the farm
In July David and I set off for two weeks honeymoon! Alexa was packed up and shared between her two sets of grandparents giving her some time at Omaha (at the beach) and then in Auckland with Annie and Jojo, as well as a week on the farm at Pukehina with Gran and Grandad. We called fairly frequently and were very reassured that she was doing just fine and hardly seemed to miss our absence.
Here are some shots of her on the farm - she got introduced to calves, spent time counting shells - she loves the number two and loved the farm dogs.
David and I also had a wonderful time spending the whole time visiting the South Island. Starting with Nelson, Abel Tasman National Park, then travelling down the West Coast from Westport through to Fox Glacier, across on the Tranzscenic railway and lastly 2 days in Akaroa. The weather was absolutely stunning, beautiful blue skies and crisp clear days with lots of ice on the ground. We felt completely refreshed as we were surrounded by native bush, native bird life and really stunning scenery.
