Rice is nice

After viewing Henry's first taste of spaghetti I thought you might also appreciate Alexa's enjoyment of rice. She was being fussy with her meal and saw I had put aside some extra rice in a bowl so declared her interest in it with her very effective means of communication - she pointed at it saying"uh uh". Then she proceeded to play with the sticky rice getting it all over her tray and in pure enjoyment grabbed fistfuls and flung it into the air.

I thought it was all harmless fun until I started to clean it up and discovered as it was sticky it wouldn't just sweep up, but instead needed to be individually picked up. Oh well, Alexa had her fun.

She loves being outside helping mum in the garden. I weed the vege garden while she "weeds" the parsley or transfers dirt from the garden to the grass. All good fun. I think in this shot the dog from next door had barked and she is not quite sure whether she should be scared or not.

She is just starting to walk and has taken a few steps - looking absolutely thrilled at herself when she lands with a thump on her bottom. Won't be long before she is off and we are having to pull the gates closed to our property.

Alexa's Room

A big thanks to all those people who have sent thru comments recently. Especially Reg & Angela. I have been meaning to post this piccie of Alexa's room for ages. You will see at the top of the cork board is fabric letters spelling out Alexa that is thanks to Reg & Angela. Her cot is adorned with a specially made quilt and headboard with Kiwifruit and Cows on the quilt - that's to represent my parents two occupations, and the 2 farm dogs (Zac & Boss) on the headboard.
